RMA board member Shelby Rist-Gutierrez was raised just east of Ruidoso in the Hondo Valley, where the village captured her heart at an early age. Today, she channels that lifelong connection into helping others discover Ruidoso and navigate the “ins and outs” of its real estate market.

Before launching her real estate career, Shelby spent eight years as the Executive Administrator and Special Events Coordinator at the Ruidoso Valley Chamber of Commerce. There, she honed her skills in multitasking, managing complex details, guiding teams toward shared goals, and, above all, recognizing the value of community.

Community and client relationships remain the hallmarks of Shelby’s success. She takes pride in connecting people to achieve their goals, supported by a service- and knowledge-driven team. Beyond her professional work, Shelby serves on the Board of Directors for the Lincoln County Humane Society and volunteers with the Nogal Fire Department—roles that allow her to extend her passion for service, safety, and the well-being of the community she holds dear.
