Chris Stettheimer
PRESIDENT
Chris Stettheimer was born and raised in New Mexico and has had a lifelong connection to Ruidoso, where he spent many of his formative years. In 1997, his love for the Village led him to make Ruidoso his permanent home. Not long after, he married, bought a home in the Midtown district, and began planting deeper roots in the community.
In 2007, Chris and his wife opened Indulgence in Midtown Ruidoso—now a local favorite and proudly celebrating 18 years in business. As their family grew, so did Chris’s commitment to the community. Seeing the need for more family-friendly outdoor spaces, he led the charge to build a new playground at Wingfield Park. Thanks to support from the Village of Ruidoso Parks and Recreation Department, local donors, and a dedicated team of volunteers, Carson’s Corner became a reality in early 2016.
Since then, Chris has remained actively involved in community improvement efforts—organizing nonprofit fundraisers, contributing to restoration projects at Wingfield Homestead, and championing local initiatives. In 2022, he was nominated to the Board of Directors for the Ruidoso Midtown Association and now serves as its President.
With no plans to leave the community he proudly calls home, Chris remains focused on revitalizing Midtown and supporting the long-term economic vitality of its merchants and small businesses.
